State’s Attorney, Family Violence Coordinating Council Team Up For Domestic Violence Webinar

WHEATON - On October 23, 2024, DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert “Bob” Berlin’s office and the 18th Judicial Family Violence Coordinating Council teamed up to deliver a webinar regarding domestic violence. State’s Attorney Berlin and Judge Ann Celine Walsh delivered the opening remarks for the webinar, and Assistant State’s Attorneys James Scaliatine, Mike Fisher, and Nancy Donahoe helped lead the program.

Discussions during the webinar included insights into updated DuPage County domestic violence protocols; how domestic violence investigations are initiated and seen through; Firearm Restraining Orders; obtaining protective orders; and survivor services.

Other invaluable partners in the webinar and in DuPage County’s coordinated response to domestic violence include the Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services and the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA).

October is recognized nationally as Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).
